As a sailor of over forty years, I became interested in ocean rowing a few years ago and have followed the progress of the sport with interest.
It became apparent about ten years ago, there was a major development in the form of the trimarans.
As in the sailing world, the "multihulls" are showing all the signs of becoming the dominant force in ocean rowing. I've no doubt they make sense in terms of speed, safety, stability and comfort.
My trimaran "Silver Surfer" is nearing the completion of the design phase with the three month build process to commence beginning of October.
The finished design (as a point of reference) will be similar to Team Hallin (pictured below) which broke the world record 2010-11
